FINAL UPDATE: Gia Nasim's Red Hair Oil

This will be my final update on the Gia Nasim Red Hair Oil. I have been using it for almost 2 months now. At least weekly, if not more. It's a nice ritual and a good habit to have. Check out some of my earlier posts about this oil here and here.

Hair oiling has been around in Asian countries since forever. In India, traditionally coconut oil is used; but now there are hundreds (if not thousands) of varieties of hair oils available. Oiling ensures that your scalp is moisturized as well as stimulated to promote healthy hair growth (diet, etc. is important too).

I have seen positive effects from using Gia's red hair oil. My hair has grown an inch in the past 2 months, which is normal rate of hair growth but for my hair it is great considering how slowly it grows generally. However, I do not think it deserves to be priced at US $65. It was not a miracle oil but a good mix of oils nonetheless. I highly recommend other oils. Refer this post for that information. There are other treatments that I believe are also helping me such as the LUSH Roots treatment and L'oreal's damage erasing hair balm that I have written about earlier.

  5. Hi there, just went thru all your post regarding gia's red oil. I just contacted Gia n she gave me all the necessary details. However, since u have used this product and have commented about it, i still have questions to ask. I have a massive hair loss problem.. i have been oiling my hair twice or thrice a week. Sometimes i do use home remedies for the prevention. To be honest i dont think it has worked coz i still have a hair loss problem. So i was wondering does this oil control the hair loss? If u have any other way of treating this problem then please do share.. I would be so grateful. And regarding the mixtures of oils that you have mentioned earlier in your post, does it work for hair loss? I will be eagerly waiting for your reply. I know this is your last update on her oil and the last comment was on July but still m being hopeful to hear from you. :) Thank u so much in advance.

    1. Hi hannah lights,

Thank you for your comment. I have not noticed any difference in hair loss issue with this oil. I recommend the following solutions (these are just solutions I have heard of but not tried, try at your own risk)

      1) Massage Onion Juice onto your scalp and keep for 30 mins. or more before washing your hair. Do this atleast thrice a week for 3 months. It should help.

      2) Use "Kalonji Oil", also known as "Black Seed Oil" for oiling your hair.

      3) Drink atleast 2-3 gallons of water and eat Fish Oil supplements. Include lot of fatty fish and nuts (walnuts, almonds) in your diet. Try to minimize the amount of stress in your life. Get your hormone levels checked.

The above 3 things should help you. Please do let me know if you do try any or all of these solutions and if they work for you. All the best and lots of love.
